Grace versus Law

Updated: Jan 13, 2022

The goodness of God, his perfect plan to save us:

When we were dead in our sins, God gave his only son, Jesus, to pay for all our sins.

His perfect plan is to make us ALIVE in Christ by forgiving all our sins.

More than that, God canceled the written code which is the law that stood against us.

God took all the law with its commands and regulations and nailed it to the cross.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the law.

What a great work God did for all of us!!!

When Jesus died on the cross, we also died with him to our sinful nature. We died to the law and its regulations.

We are now under grace.

We obey God but not to gain salvation.

Salvation is a free gift from God to anyone who accepts Jesus and what He accomplished for us on the cross.

Jesus died so we may live. Not in guilt, fear or condemnation but free of all that.

We love God because He first loved us.

When we understand how deep His love for us is, we are transformed by his love and grace.

Colossians 2:13-15 NIV

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
